Joye Law Firm Awards College Scholarship to Colleton County Student
Charleston, SC (PRWEB) August 09, 2014 -- Joye Law Firm is proud to announce Mr. Niniverh “Leon” Williams, Jr., a 2014 graduate of Colleton County High School, has been awarded a $2,000 Joye Law Firm scholarship. Williams plans to study secondary education at the College of Charleston.
“We’re very pleased to extend this award to Niniverh Williams,” explains Joye Law Firm’s Managing Partner Ken Harrell. “He is a fine young man, and we are sure that he has a bright future ahead of him.”
The Joye Law Firm scholarship program, which is in its eighth year, has awarded over $100,000 to college-bound seniors from across South Carolina.
Mr. Williams is one of six seniors awarded a scholarship in the firm’s 2014 spring scholarship campaign. He was actively involved in school and community organizations including National Honor Society, Student Council, Drama Club, Cougar Mentors club, church tutoring and youth group. Mr. Williams has also enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corp.
“We received more applications this year than ever before,” added Mr. Harrell. “It was extremely difficult to choose only six students, but it showed us just how intelligent, talented and ambitious our future generation of leaders truly is and how we should expect great things from them.”
