JP & Associates Realtors Throws 4th Annual Christmas Party for DFW Homeless Youth
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) December 02, 2016 -- For the fourth year in a row, Frisco and Plano-based real estate firm JP & Associates Realtors is aiming to make a difference in the community. The company’s culture of productivity and service compelled the team to maintain its traditional, philanthropic Christmas party this year on Dec. 4.
The party, which takes place at Main Event in Frisco, is a surprise holiday celebration for more than 100 unsuspecting homeless youth from all over Collin County. Kids from shelters including The Samaritan Inn and City House are picked up in limos and taken to the venue to walk the red carpet.
“For our City House shelter children and transitional living residents, this is one of the most memorable days of their young lives,” said Sheri Messer, City House Executive Director. “The generosity that JP & Associates bestows on the kids starts the moment they step foot into their limousine and the entire night is simply a magical experience for all.”
JP & Associates shuts down the entire Main Event venue and reserves it for four hours. The kids get unlimited games during that time, as well as pizza, drinks, laser tag, and gifts.
The holiday party is interactive, as agents dress up as holiday characters and superheroes, spending time with each child. JP & Associates Owner JP Piccinini himself will be Willy Wonka again this year, dressed in full Willy Wonka garb. Every child is sponsored by a JP real estate agent, who shops for each individual’s needs based on their letters to Santa prior to the party.
“I am incredibly proud of our agents and staff as they come together every year to ensure these children have a better Christmas and a better future,” Piccinini said. “I can't to see those big smiles as they enter Main Event.”
Though the party lasts only one night a year, JP & Associates agents and sponsors offer a college scholarship to two recipients at the end of the night, which can affect the rest of a child’s life. As homeless youth is a growing problem in the DFW area, donors can make a big difference by contributing to the online scholarship fundraiser, the goal of which is to raise $10,000.
At the end of the night, each child will meet Santa Claus and choose one toy from “Santa’s Workshop,” leaving with a stocking stuffed full of candy and treats. Their personalized presents are placed under the big holiday tree during the party and are later delivered to the children on Christmas Day.
