She will set company strategy and vision while overseeing business operations, product development and technology. Former president Dr. Lawrence K. Jones remains active in the company as Founder and Chairman with extensive subject-matter expertise.
Ms. Jones, a certified Global Career Development Facilitator, had served as vice president of Career Key since October 2006. Prior to that time, she practiced labor and employment law for 10 years in Washington state; her last position was serving as the Legal Officer and Labor/Risk Manager for the Washington State Patrol.
Ms. Jones’s father, Dr. Jones, is a Professor Emeritus in the College of Education at North Carolina State University, a National Certified Counselor and a nationally recognized counseling psychologist. With the support of Ms. Jones's mother Jeanine Wehr Jones, Dr. Jones founded Career Key as a free public service in 1997. He developed the scientifically valid Career Key career assessment, based on Holland’s Theory of Career Choice, that is used globally by thousands of youth and adults every year.
