Hollywood, FL (PRWEB) August 05, 2013 -- Justin Wyborn has been named vice president of food and beverage at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek and Seminole Classic Casino. His appointment was announced by Larry Mullin, COO of Seminole Gaming.
In his new position, Wyborn oversees all food and beverage establishments inside Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood including the award-winning Council Oak Steak & Seafood restaurant, Center Bar, Beach Club, Blue Plate and Constant Grind; Seminole Casino Coconut Creek’s NYY Steak, Sorrisi, Fresh Harvest, Legends Lounge, Nectar, Sunset Grill and 1st Street Deli; and Seminole Classic Casino’s Classic Buffet, Classic Bingo Deli, The Deli and the Stage Bar.
Wyborn’s international travels and extensive background in the hospitality world provide him with a well-rounded perspective of the industry that will seamlessly integrate into his current role.
With close to 20 years of culinary experience, Wyborn has been synonymous with the Nobu brand for over 15 years having opened eight Nobu restaurants, internationally, in London, England, New York, New York, Miami, Florida, Los Angeles and San Diego, California, Waikiki, Hawaii and Melbourne, Australia, stopping every few years to hold the general manager’s role. Most recently, he oversaw all Nobu operations on the West Coast, including Los Angeles, Malibu and San Diego, California and Waikiki, Hawaii. Wyborn’s epicurean pedigree has earned him a stellar reputation in the American culinary industry, resulting in him appearing twice as a guest judge on Gordon Ramsay’s reality series, Hell’s Kitchen.
Prior to his current position, Wyborn served as director of fine dining with The Star Casino in Sydney, Australia overseeing the openings of Momofuku Seiobo by David Chang (awarded Three Chef Hats/Best New Restaurant and Hottest Restaurant in Australia), BLACK by Teage Ezard, Osteria Balla by Manfredi, Sokyo and Bistro 80.
Additionally, Wyborn held a “front of house” cadetship at the famed Savoy Hotel in London. His experience also includes setting-up Nobu partner Drew Nieporent’s The Coach House at the Harbor View Hotel in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.
Wyborn holds a hospitality management degree from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.
