K’NEX Limited Partnership Group Prepares Teachers with Key STEM Topics
Hatfield, PA (PRWEB) December 16, 2013 -- K’NEX Limited Partnership Group, the only U.S. construction toy company focused on Building Worlds Kids Love, is excited to host teachers from the Souderton Area School District for a day of workshops based on the K’NEX Education™ product line. Teachers from the school district will participate in half day workshops focused on providing the tools teachers need to get students excited about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), as our country faces a critical shortage of qualified STEM workers. K’NEX Education™ is helping teachers as they prepare today’s students for tomorrow’s STEM jobs.
On Tuesday, December 17, 2013, Souderton Area School District teachers will attend one of two workshops focused on STEM concepts. Both workshops will occur at the K’NEX Worldwide Headquarters located at 2990 Bergey Road, Hatfield, PA 19440. Teachers will progress through a series of meaningful and rigorous science, technology, engineering and mathematics activities designed to guide their learning, and challenge them to use critical thinking and problem solving skills, much like their students would in the classroom. One workshop will focus on Forces, Energy and Motion; the second focusing on middle school math concepts including, geometry and pre-algebra.
