K’NEX® President & CEO, Michael Araten and his wife, Ellen, To Be Honored By The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation
HATFIELD, Pa. (PRWEB) October 12, 2017 -- K’NEX, the construction toy company where creativity clicks™ is pleased to announce that Ellen & Michael Araten, K’NEX President & CEO, will be honored by the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation as the 2017 recipients of the Founders Award. The Araten’s will be celebrated at the foundation’s annual Renaissance Ball on October 21, 2017.
The mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Since 1967, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation has been the leader in research, education, and patient support for those suffering from these diseases, allocating 82 cents of every dollar directly to these mission programs.

This is a special year for the Foundation, we are celebrating our 50th Anniversary and we wanted to commend Michael and Ellen for their continued support of the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter as we work to achieve our vision of a future free from Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.”
The Araten’s join previous honorees including Lou Eni. President & CEO, Dietz & Watson, Gene Kestenbaum, CEO, Ellis Coffee Company, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) IBD Team. The Gastroenterology Department of Nemours/Alfred i. Dupont Hospital For Children will also be celebrated at the October 21st Ball and will receive the Gold Medallion Award.
