Kaba’s Cencon O2 Product Offers Remote Lock Management

The introduction of Cencon O2 to the Cencon line now allows financial and service organizations to increase operational efficiency through remote lock, user and key management. Cencon O2 will debut at the BAI Retail Delivery Exposition, November 5-7, 2013, Denver, CO.
“We are acutely aware that a large part of the ATM cash security investment comes from hardware costs and operational expenses. Financial organizations already own the locks and keys,” says Stephen Pollack, senior vice president of strategic marketing at Kaba ADS. “We designed Cencon O2 with this in mind. The system provides an upgrade to existing GEN2 locks and keys.”
The system is currently available with the new Cencon Swingbolt Lock; the dead bolt version will be available for field upgrades in January 2014. To expand an existing field system’s functionality, users install a simple firmware update and add the new Interconnect Box and related software. Cencon O2 works with the new CenTran v5.1.
“Kaba’s CenTran Software has always given users the ability to automate certain Cencon features, such as code generation and distribution through third-party dispatching software,” says Benjamin Boggs, product manager, Kaba ADS. “With the integration of a third-party IVR system or CenTran Appliance, CenTran’s Web Service enables field personnel to receive their One Time Combination via text or email, eliminating time-sensitive contact with dispatch personnel.”
By increasing the capabilities of this software package, Cencon O2 offers users even more automated and remote abilities, including user and key management and the ability to remotely activate, audit, manage, and shelve locks.
