For the second time this year, Kahiki has earned national recognition for its creativity and innovation in new products. In their September issue, Progressive Grocer magazine selected Kahiki’s new line of Bowl & Roll™ entrées as one of their “Editor’s Picks”.
Progressive Grocer’s four-person product evaluation team, consisting of senior members of the editorial staff, reviewed 245 new food products to find their favorite new items. Factors taken into consideration included taste, innovation, function and convenience. Their favorites were bestowed with the coveted “Editors Picks” award. Referring to the unique and innovative addition of an Egg Roll with each entrée, Progressive Grocer’s reviewers said “This great meal solution gives the consumer a little something extra.”
Kahiki’s line of Bowl & Roll™ entrees were introduced at the start of the year and due to their uniqueness and popularity have already gained national distribution in mass merchandisers, grocery stores and convenience stores. There are five Bowl and Roll™ varieties: General Tso’s Chicken, Chicken Pad Thai, Szechuan Pepper Steak, Sesame Ginger Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice. But what makes Bowl & Roll™ truly special is the addition of an Egg Roll as a crunchy bonus for each meal.
