KAJ Brothers Join the Campaign to 'End It - Shine A Light On Slavery'
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) February 27, 2015 -- Today, February 27th, is "Shine A Light On Slavery Day" and the KAJ Brothers, along with LXR Organics and Living Fuel, Inc., have linked arms with the END IT Campaign to raise awareness and promote prevention, rescue and restoration for people held in slavery.
According to statistics provided by the END IT Coalition, slavery is the 2nd largest global organized crime, generating 150.2 billion dollars per year and exists in 167 countries around the world. Slavery includes bonded labor, forced labor, and human trafficking.
Kyle Craichy, Founder & CEO of LXR Organics and a member of the KAJ Brothers musical group, is deeply concerned about the 27-million people around the world who are currently in slavery.
"The human slave trade is atrocious," Craichy said. "We're doing everything we can to fight against slavery and human trafficking."
The END IT Coalition also reported that almost 20% of slavery victims (1 out of 5) are children. Their reports say that the average age a teenager enters the sex trade in the U.S. is 12 - 14 years old. People who support the END IT campaign are wearing a 'red X' on their hands today as a sign of support and solidarity with the international coalition partners.
"Sex trafficking is the greatest scourge on society today, and I am so blessed to be able to partner with END IT, IJM and other like-minded organizations to be able to do something about it," Austin Craichy said. "Enough is enough!"
Last year, the KAJ Brothers committed $10,000 to the International Justice Mission (IJM) for the purpose of helping to end human sex trafficking. IJM is one of the leading coalition partners with END IT.
The KAJ Brothers, whose motto is "Making Chivalry Cool Again," includes Kyle Craichy, his brother Austin Craichy, and Johnny Atys. The KAJ Brothers also started their own non-profit foundation (KAJ Brothers Freedom Foundation to Fight Human Sex Trafficking) to help raise funds and awareness to fight slavery and human trafficking.
The KAJ Brothers band has a prolific mission: To uplift their audience with the primary purpose of elevating women with true love songs and respect. When asked specifically about their mission, the group unanimously replies, “To make chivalry cool again, and help raise the standards for girls and women while influencing humanity as a whole, to treat women with greater respect.”
