Kanga Releases New Delivery App for iOS and Android
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 14, 2014 -- Kanga, an on-demand delivery service similar to ride-sharing service Uber, but focused on moving things instead of people, just announced the release of an all new iOS and Android application to better meet their users’ delivery needs.
Since launching in early 2014, Kanga has attracted thousands of customers across the Southeast, helping businesses and individuals deliver anything, anywhere. Kanga handles deliveries for hundreds of companies including Batteries + Bulbs, Big Peach Running Co. and Taste of Atlanta. Janea Boyles, owner of The Mercantile, uses Kanga for catering deliveries: "With options like Kanga, people will begin to make decisions, plans, and expenditures differently. And, we love being a part of that sort of innovation."
“Customer feedback is a big part of creating a successful consumer product,” says Alex Rhodeen, Chief Operating Officer at Kanga. “We took months of feedback from our users and Drivers, and that shaped the dynamic improvements we implemented in Kanga 2.0."
The new application, available for iOS and Android mobile devices, includes an updated interface, faster communications between users and Drivers, and a new routing system that ensures quicker and more efficient deliveries for Kanga’s users. The app is available for download at getkanga.com/download.
Cassidy Mitchell, Community Manager at Kanga, is tasked with ensuring each delivery goes smoothly from pickup to destination. For her, the new application was a critical upgrade. “The old system required drivers to do more work than necessary. With the Kanga 2.0 app in place, Kanga Certified Drivers have a much simpler interface, better access to their customers’ contact info, and a better routing system to help them consistently deliver on Kanga’s promise of top tier customer service.”
To celebrate the launch of the new application, Kanga is working in conjunction with the Technology Association of Georgia’s Education Collaborative (TAG-Ed) to challenge the Atlanta startup community to support science, technology, engineering and mathematics education in Georgia. As part of the “Georgia Gives” initiative, Kanga is encouraging other Georgia based startups to donate to TAG-Ed, and share the word about the program with their networks.
“To stay competitive on the national stage, Georgia must improve its STEM education efforts,” says Rich Knitter, Chief Technical Officer at Kanga. “Encouraging our colleagues and friends in the community to support this cause was an obvious fit for Kanga, and we are excited to see what impact this campaign will have on the state of education in Georgia.”
