Kansas City Area Photography Studio Selected for Induction into Hall of Fame
Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) October 16, 2013 -- The Knot Wedding Network has selected Freeland Photography of Lee’s Summit for induction into the Network’s Hall of Fame. The winners were announced at the 10th annual convention of Wedding MBA, a trade event of 10,000 professionals from around the world. The convention was recently featured on ABC News show 20/20. To qualify, studios must win a minimum of four or more Best of Weddings awards. The Freeland studio qualified because it was voted Best of Weddings six of the past seven years. Studio owner Mike Freeland has photographed over a thousand weddings in the Kansas City area. The studio features the area's top Kansas City photographers and has had over 135 features published in magazines.
Freeland Photography began in Independence, Missouri in 1997. The studio relocated to 320 SE Douglas Street in Lee’s Summit MO in 2011 and has enjoyed excellent growth as part of a revitalized downtown area. During their first year in Lee’s Summit they were selected by KC Magazine as one of the area’s top 5 photographers. Freeland’s work has also been published in the KC Star, KC Magazine, Jewish Life, Ea Bride, KC Weddings and Spaces Magazine. Essence Magazine recently featured a wedding photographed by Freeland photography on their website and the feature was viewed over 700,000 times in the first 48 hours of being published. Top Kansas City establishments use Freeland images for their print and web advertising including: The Hawthorne House, The Stanley Event Space, Hilton President, Intercontinental Hotel, Longview Mansion, Terrace on Grand, The Gallery, The Baltimore Club, Powell Gardens, as well as the Midland and Uptown Theaters. The studio has worked in nearly every venue in Greater Kansas City. According to owner Mike Freeland, they collaborate with clients to ensure that their photos are memorable. Freeland provides ideas and suggestions by showing copies of their prior work done at a client's locale. Freeland expects his studio to photograph as many as 85 weddings and 250 studio shoots in 2013 and over a hundred weddings in 2014.
