Katie’s Cards Celebrate Fifth Christmas With Turkey Triumph
Teddington, UK (PRWEB) December 12, 2013 -- Katie’s Cards, a designer of personal and company ecards based in Teddington, has added a Turkey Breakout ecard to the corporate arm of their business to coincide with the celebration of their fifth Christmas.
The popular line of comical ecards, featuring a couple of brave birds battling to escape a fate on the festive dinner plate, was added to the site at the beginning of December.
This year’s ecard takes inspiration from a famous daredevil, as the turkeys don Evil Knieval-style jumpsuits and thrust themselves into a lit cannon. The turkey cannonballs are launched into the air and away from the farm in a (semi) successful bid for freedom.
Previous cards in this range have included a ‘Great Escape’ inspired dig for freedom, a ‘Mission Impossible’ style turkey breakout and an interactive Runaway Turkey Game where you can save the turkey by outrunning the angry farmer.
Katie’s Cards operate a membership service for individuals where a small annual fee is paid. Users can send unlimited ecards throughout their membership and can also send cards via Facebook. For business greetings, Katie’s Cards offer corporate Christmas ecards from £75 which can be sent directly or scheduled in advance with a company logo, personal message and link.
Katie Davis, owner of Katie’s Cards, explains the inception of this ecard range: ‘The idea came when we were thinking about how much people look forward to the festive season. And that got us thinking about who might be dreading it. So we came up with these two quite lovable turkey characters desperate to escape becoming Christmas dinner or, worse yet, leftover turkey curry.'
She adds how the creation of a new turkey ecard in time for Christmas has become a festive tradition within the company: ‘Every year we try and better the last turkey card. They’ve become really popular and we have to admit that it’s great fun find new and inventive methods of escape. And whether the turkeys are successful or not, you always end up rooting for them… I often spare a thought for them whilst I eat my Christmas dinner!’
