Katzman Garfinkel & Berger Attorney, Howard J. Perl, Named Firm Partner and Elected to Southeast Chapter of CAI Board of Directors
Margate, FL (PRWEB) December 23, 2013 -- Mr. Perl has been a licensed community association manager since 1987 and still holds the PCAM® designation from the Community Associations Institute (“CAI”), the highest designation awarded to a community association manager. Mr. Perl began his legal career as a community association attorney almost a decade ago.
"This combination of legal and practical experience in the industry gives Howard a unique perspective when dealing with clients," said Leigh Katzman, a Founding Partner of the community association law firm of Katzman Garfinkel & Berger, "He understands the importance of being available to a client when needed, returning phone calls promptly, and how to speak to Board members and owners in plain English, not legalese."
“I have known Howard for a long time and was delighted when he joined our Firm over three years ago. He has proven himself to be an incredible asset to our clients, our partners and staff and our colleagues in the community association industry,” said Donna DiMaggio Berger, the Executive Director of the Firm's Community Advocacy Network and a Founding Partner of the Firm.
As a retired Major who served in active military duty in Iraq, Mr. Perl now also heads up the Firm’s popular Board Member Boot Camp® training series. The training certifies condominium, cooperative and HOA directors for service on their boards and also provides five hours of continuing education credits for managers who attend.
“Howard is a talented attorney and a passionate educator. He has served our community clients from Key West to the Panhandle in a variety of legal matters and if you have never seen him teach one of our more than three dozen courses, you are missing out,” said Alan B. Garfinkel, Founding and Managing Partner of the Firm's Central Florida Offices.
In addition to general corporate representation for all types of community associations, Mr. Perl specializes in condominium terminations and the transition from developer control for all types of communities.
