Kauffman Foundation Launches New Education Blog
Kansas City, Mo. (PRWEB) January 26, 2016 -- There’s a lot to talk about when it comes to education issues. Now there’s a new place to talk about them.
The Kauffman Foundation education team has launched a new blog called EDinsight that will provide a forum for discussing a variety of topics related to education—including teacher preparation, school quality, postsecondary attainment, use of education data and other education news and trends.
“As both a funder and an engaged community organization in Kansas City’s education landscape, we regularly encounter successes and innovations but also challenges, questions and frustrations,” said Aaron North, vice president of Education at the Kauffman Foundation. “By creating EDinsight, we hope to share some of that perspective and explore new ideas relevant to Kansas City and cities across the country. We welcome questions, comments and feedback regarding the priority we share with so many others to ensure all students get a quality education no matter where they live or what their life circumstances may be.”
In 2015, the Kauffman Foundation invested a total of $35.2 million in education initiatives supporting schools, students and educators. The Foundation also worked closely with community partners to bring City Year to Kansas City and to explore additional opportunities for collaboration toward common goals for student success.
