Kevin Long’s Newly Released “Incest In The Mormon Church” Is A Thought-Provoking Book About The Kinds Of Wickedness That Are Apparent In The Mormon Church
(PRWEB) October 31, 2017 -- “Incest in the Mormon Church”: a fearless and revealing book that talks about the errors in the Mormon doctrine and the wrongdoings that the leaders have committed despite their holy stature. “Incest in the Mormon Church” is the creation of published author, Kevin Long, a former minor of gold, uranium, and ethanol.
Long shares, “Although polygamy was officially disavowed by the Mormon Church in 1890, it is still being practiced by twenty-five thousand to near forty thousand people, and young women are still being enticed and stolen from their homes. In 2002 in Salt Lake City prosecutors charged a woman inducing her sister to marry her husband. Police Officer Rodney Holm was married to Suzie, aged thirty-six, who helped him to acquire her sister, aged sixteen. The Holms belonged to the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints (FLDS), one of six polygamous splinter group in Utah and Western States.
The Fundamentalist offshoots of Mormonism teach that a girl’s menstruation is old enough for marriage. Officials say girls are being married young as age eleven. In keeping with their antiquated standards of propriety, the women of these sects are encouraged to dress in pioneer-style long dresses with ribbons and frills and to wear hair uncut to their knees. They do not listen to music or watch television.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Kevin Long’s new book reveals that even if the Mormon Church officially teaches polygamy as something that should not be practiced since 1890, it is still evident; incest is also practiced, and young women get married at a young age.
One of the concerns that Long pointed out is the Mormon fundamentalist’s teaching that menstruation is an indication of the right time to marry—young women get married as young as eleven years old. The author cites various historical facts on how men exploit a woman’s religious beliefs and force them to marry, from physical to sexual abuse.
