WICKENBURG, Ariz (PRWEB) January 14, 2015 -- Kevin Wandler, MD, CEDS, Medical Director of Remuda Ranch at The Meadows, a comprehensive treatment center specializing in eating and co-occurring disorders for women and girls, has assumed the role as president of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals Foundation (iaedp) for the 2015-2016 term. “It is an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to serve iaedp as President for 2015 and 2016,” Dr. Wandler said. “Buck Runyan had done a fantastic job, and I am looking forward to carrying out the initiatives he and the iaedp board have started and continuing to support the iaedp community and their mission. I am equally excited that this year’s iaedp conference is in my back yard, Phoenix, Arizona!”

His contributions to the organization include the development of iaedp chapters and work on iaedp Certification. Runyan will remain on the Board of Directors and will assume the role of Immediate Past President, serving on the Board’s Executive Committee for the next two years.
“Participating with iaedp in such a key role this past two years as President of the Board of Directors has been a wonderful experience. iaedp is a leader in bringing eating disorder treatment professionals together and providing them with exceptional education and training resources,” Runyan said. “Knowing that Dr. Wandler will be assuming the responsibilities of President is reassuring that iaedp will remain focused on its mission. Just as he has done over his career, Dr. Wandler will provide exceptional leadership during his tenure.”
In addition to his leadership role as President of the iaedp Board of Directors, Dr. Wandler has been a member of the organization’s Certification Committee and is currently the Board Liaison in developing a new certification for physicians.
