Keyport Launches Kickstarter Campaign for Two New Modular Everyday Multi-Tools Integrating IoT and Featuring KeyportID Lost and Found
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) January 08, 2016 -- Keyport, Inc., the company that pioneered the universal access device with the Keyport Slide, today announced the launch of a Kickstarter campaign to bring its modular everyday multi-tool platform to market. Included in the campaign are the Keyport Slide 3.0 and the Keyport Pivot along with three add-on modules – a BLE locator that works with TrackR, a drop point pocketknife designed by nationally recognized knife designer, Glenn Klecker of Klecker Knives, and a 12 lumen mini-flashlight. Starting today, backers for the latest Keyport products can pledge to the campaign by visiting the Keyport Kickstarter page. Keyport is including one year of KeyportID Premium free for all rewards which include a Slide or Pivot, and Early Bird discounts are expected to fill up quickly.
“We are thrilled to introduce two new products, the next gen Keyport Slide 3.0 and the all new Keyport Pivot,” said Keyport Founder and Chief Product Designer, Josh Downes. “These modular, everyday multi-tools provide our customers with the ability to customize their daily carry and to personalize their own combination of utility and style.”
Designed using extensive user feedback, Keyport developed two devices which integrate customers’ most requested features while addressing their biggest concerns.
“We think of our customers as a valuable member of our team, and their collective input has been instrumental in bringing these new products to fruition,” explained Keyport’s President, David Cooper.
The Keyport Slide 3.0 and Keyport Pivot both feature all-metal construction. While the premium Slide continues to utilize Keyport Blades for one-handed access, the Pivot integrates a customer’s existing keys and can accommodate nine or more with an extension kit. Both devices come with a two-year limited warranty; double that of the previous version.
To combat the biggest worry associated with keys - losing them - Keyport has developed a Bluetooth low energy locator module that works with TrackR. Using the TrackR mobile app, customers can locate their Keyport using their smartphone or alternatively find their smartphone by clicking on a button on the locator. Keyport also has developed KeyportID, an online lost and found service that uses the unique serial number engraved on each Keyport to connect owners and finders online directly and anonymously with a click.
“Between our BLE locator that works with TrackR and our new KeyportID Lost and Found program, we ensure that our customers spend more time using their Keyport than looking for it,” Cooper said.
