Khadija Fredericks Selected To Be Head of School For Saint Andrew's Episcopal School
SARATOGA, Calif., Oct. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Saint Andrew's Episcopal School ( http://www.st-andrews.org/) today announced that Khadija Fredericks has accepted the invitation of the Board of Trustees to become the next Head of Saint Andrew's Episcopal School, effective July 1, 2018. She will follow the one-year term of interim Head of School Dave Davies.
Fredericks was the unanimous recommendation of the Search Committee, which consisted of trustees, faculty, staff, parents and the rector of the church. She was also the unanimous choice of the full Board of Trustees.

Khadija brings 23 years of experience as a teacher and administrator to Saint Andrew's. She has served since 2013 as the Director of Lower School at St. Paul's Episcopal School, a well-regarded independent school in Oakland. She also worked as the Director of Admissions/Enrollment Management at St. Paul's from 2006-2013 and as a first-grader teacher from 2001-2006. Prior to her arrival at St. Paul's, Khadija taught kindergarten at The Harker School in San Jose from 1998-2001.
Khadija holds a Master's degree in elementary education from Columbia University and earned her bachelor's degree at San Francisco State University. She has also participated in the NAIS Fellowship for Aspiring Heads program and served as an Accreditation Team Member for the California Association of Independent Schools.

Khadija and her husband, David, have two children who are beginning their freshman year in college.
