Kickstarter Sensation Hamtun Watches Announce Their New Swiss Powered Automatic Watch
LONDON (PRWEB) January 23, 2018 -- With their 2016 Kickstarter campaign, Hamtun Watches raised £1000 a minute to reach their goal in 20 minutes and become one of the fastest projects to fully fund. Now, in 2018, they are back with their second watch, the Swiss powered Neon Automatic.
With big brands supporting vast legacy organisations and adding huge retail markups, high quality watches are out of reach for many people. Those that are affordable are often low quality and cheaply produced. Ross Davis, owner of Hamtun Watches, wanted to build a modern, lean company that could produce high quality, unique watches at a fair price.
The Neon Automatic features high quality components sourced from well-respected suppliers and assembled in Hamtun’s unique, in-house case. An STP 1-11 automatic movement from Switzerland, a custom designed case made from surgical grade 316L stainless steel and ceramic, and Super-LumiNova for easy readability in the dark, all result in a watch that compares favourably with pieces that retail at many times the price.
With their previous Kickstarter campaign fully delivered to rave reviews, Hamtun are now focused on production and delivery of the Neon campaign. Owner Ross Davis said: “Our first model received 5 stars from our customers around the World for its quality and value, but we still wanted to go further. The Swiss movement is a first for us, and with 12 different colourways available in the Neon collection, there is a model for everyone.”
The Neon Automatic launches on Kickstarter on January 30th starting at £259 and will be available for pre-order for a month.
Hamtun Watches are a Southampton, UK based company that sell their in-house designed watches and accessories exclusively online. The business was founded in 2015 by Ross Davis and released their first watch, the H1 titanium dive watch, on Kickstarter in 2016. The H1 was fully funded in around 20 minutes and went on to raise around £170,000 in pre-orders. The Neon Automatic, their second watch, is a Swiss powered automatic watch that launches in January 2018.
