Kidney Cancer Association Live Support Online through New Year’s Day
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 27, 2013 -- “I was treated surgically for renal cell carcinoma Christmas week,” says Bill Bro, CEO of the Kidney Cancer Association (KCA). “My entire right kidney was removed, and I know what it’s like to deal with cancer over the holidays. Our charity wants to be sure that patients and their families continue to receive the support they need, despite the fact that January 1st is observed as a holiday throughout much of the world.”
KCA’s Live Support will be available through the organization’s home page at http://www.KidneyCancer.org from New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day, during special office hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (longer, if necessary). All functions normally provided to those using this web-based application will be available through the holiday.
“We can provide links to resources that offer emotional support, literature, medical referrals, drug payment assistance, and financial support, just as we do every other day of the year,” Bro says.
