Kidwell to Appear at Upcoming InfoTec Conference in Omaha
Lincoln, NE (PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- On April 21 and 22, information technology (IT) and telephony company Kidwell will attend the AIM Institute's annual InfoTec conference at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha.
Each year, the AIM Institute holds this conference to expose business professionals in the area to employment opportunities with the dozens of companies represented. The conference also hosts keynote lectures from well-known speakers in the technology field.
Kidwell has attended the InfoTech Conference for the last five years, acting as a major sponsor for the event, according to Todd Long, Vice President of Marketing and Innovation. However, this year the company plans to do something new.
"We decided to try something new this year and sponsor an event for students interested in the IT world to promote IT as a career path," Long says. "We will also be looking for students who are seeking internships as a way to build a business relationship with the company and one day become a full-time employee with Kidwell."
Kidwell is seeking out current college students and young graduates due to its record growth over the last three years, according to Long. In just the past year alone, Kidwell has grown from 100 to 150 employees.
"We are still expanding, and we always need talented individuals who are passionate about IT to come work with us and help our organization grow," Long says. "Our main focus is to recruit students from local universities as well as anyone else who might be already working in the industry and looking for a better opportunity."
In addition to these valuable chances to learn more about pursuing a career in IT, Kidwell will also be giving away four Raspberry Pis in a random lottery. Anyone who visits the Kidwell booth can sign up for a chance to win.
Ultimately, Long says the InfoTech Conference is one of the best ways for Kidwell to make its name known in the Omaha-area IT sector and to continue to establish itself as one of the top IT companies.
"This is another opportunity for us to show how progressive we are as a company," he says. "Every time we get out in the community, it allows people to get a look into what we're doing -- and we're excited to show off the work we do in the technology world."
