Kiwi Energy Will Be an Official Sponsor and Participant of the 27th Annual NYC Century Bike Tour
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 09, 2016 -- On Saturday September 10th 2016, for the second consecutive year, Kiwi Energy will be an official sponsor and participant for Transportation Alternatives’ Bike the Boros: NYC Century. The NYC Century Bike Tour is Transportation Alternatives’ largest fundraising cycling event of the season. The ride will help them achieve the goal of $700,000 for Vision Zero, a safe streets initiative that seeks to end traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries through street design, better enforcement and education.
Since 1973, Transportation Alternatives has paved the way for some of the most remarkable changes to New York City’s transportation infrastructure. Now in its 27th year, the NYC Century Bike Tour is still the nation’s only all-urban bike tour that allows its riders to choose between three different courses: an Imperial Century tour, a 100-mile ride across the boroughs for the experienced cyclist, the Metric Century, a 62-mile ride not for the faint of heart, and the Half Metric, a 31-mile tour ideal for those new to biking but looking for something more than an average Saturday stroll. Each course is specifically designed to showcase the diversity of New York City neighborhoods and how to navigate through them safely.
