Know Technology Joins Enables IT to Lead and Expand US Operations
Camden, Maine (PRWEB) November 07, 2013 -- Know Technology, the Maine based IT solutions and support services company, today announced that they have positioned themselves for a significant new growth opportunity by joining their operations with the US subsidiary of Enables IT, plc, a publicly traded international IT services organization with operations in Europe, South Africa and the US.
The global firm has been in talks with Know Technology for the past five months. Know Technology will bring with it major clients from a wide range of industries, including: health, financial, education, government, and social service organizations. All members of the Know Technology leadership and staff have been offered positions with Enables IT.
Steve Hand, who founded Know Technology, will continue in a leadership role with Enables IT as the Director of Business Development. Hand confirmed that Know Technology chose Enables IT because of the complimentary capabilities. Hand said, “for our clients, the expectation should be for expanded offerings, additional resources, and continuity with our familiar team." He goes on to say, "We are confident that our clients will receive our same great services along with new capabilities such as Enables IT infrastructure as a service (IAAS) offer called HAVEN, and 24x7 support available from multiple global network operations centers; as well as added value from a larger range of vendor partners.”
Know Technology President Patrick Jones will be taking on the role of Enables IT President of North America. Jones claimed that in addition to expanded capabilities, similar values were also key to making this transaction attractive. Know Technology's Maine operations will merge with Enables IT Brunswick. The combined business will keep the Enables IT name and have 41 staff in the US.
