Know Technology Wins Bid to Provide Three Years of Contracted UPS, Uniterruptible Power Supplies, to the State of Maine
Camden, ME (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- By special arrangement with the state, Know Technology, a leader in providing IT Managed and Professional Services to organizations in Maine and New England, will also extend the contract pricing to all Maine government agencies, such as school districts and local and county governments, to obtain protection from input power interruptions.
The State of Maine has standardized on APC UPS equipment with over 500 installed locations. Under the terms of the contract, Know Technology will be providing new equipment as well as replacements and upgrades for existing equipment.
As a Schneider/APC partner, Know Technology is supplying the leading power conditioning equipment used globally to protect everything from single workstations and local networks to large data centers.
"The State of Maine had some significant requirements for this bid”, said Taylor Pohlman, Know Technology Account Manager for the State of Maine. "Besides good pricing, they were looking for APC certified personnel and very timely delivery commitments, and Know Technology provided the solution." Taylor added, "they also asked if we were willing to extend the pricing to other government and school entities in Maine, and we were more than happy to do that. It’s our way of reinforcing our commitment as a Maine-based business".
Know Technology's president, Patrick Jones said, "we have already received our first order from the State, and we look forward to a productive relationship and the ability to supply the best UPS equipment available. This is another example of our commitment to leading IT equipment vendors -- our investment in training to become a premier APC partner has made this opportunity possible."
