Knowledge Delivery Systems (KDS) Selected as a Multiple Winner in the 36th Annual Telly Awards
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 22, 2015 -- The Telly Awards has named Knowledge Delivery Systems (KDS), the leader in research-based, strategic and blended professional development for schools and districts, as a winner of multiple awards in the 36th Annual Telly Awards for video segments entitled, Pedagogical Strategies for English Language Learners and Collaborative Lesson Planning.
The video from Pedagogical Strategies for English Language Learners took home the Silver Telly, the highest honor, for the Non-Broadcast Productions - Education (for academic use) category. The course is one of four that are part of the first-ever online, Education Equity Certificate Program, developed in partnership with USC Rossier School of Education.
Collaborative Lesson Planning was awarded the Silver Telly in the Non-Broadcast Productions - Education (for academic use) category as well as the Bronze Telly for the Online Video - Education category. The clip was created for the National Center on Time & Learning as part of a series of video resources that share effective practices at expanded learning time schools. The winning clip features a school that has leveraged a longer school day to provide collaborative planning time for teachers.
The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. This year, there were more than 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries.
A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work – entries do not compete against each other – rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10% of entries are chosen as winners of the Silver Telly, the highest honor. Approximately 25% of entries are chosen as winners of the Bronze Telly.
“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. “Knowledge Delivery Systems’ accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”
"It's an honor to be recognized by our peers in the film and video community at the 36th Annual Telly Awards," said Alvin Crawford, CEO of KDS. "This recognition speaks volumes about the impact of our cutting-edge professional development solutions and the quality of our online content that supports the growth and development of teachers around the world."
