Kobie Marketing Announces Annual Fundraiser to Support Local Charities
Saint Petersburg, FL (PRWEB) October 07, 2015 -- Kobie Marketing, a global leader in loyalty marketing with corporate headquarters in downtown Saint Petersburg, announced it will host fundraiser, Saint Pete’s Got Talent, on November 12, 2015—to raise funds for local Tampa Bay charities.
Modeled after the hit television show, America’s Got Talent, the charity fundraiser will feature a talent show comprised of 20 talent acts, sponsored by local-area companies. Charities of choice pre-selected by the company sponsors of the top three winning talent acts will receive a portion of the total charity funds raised – expected to be at least $10,000 by the day of the event. Additionally, nonperishable food donations will be donated to the St. Pete Free Clinic Food Bank (SPFC) — a 501c3 not-for-profit human services agency providing assistance to those in need with food, shelter and health care.
“The support from our community – from sponsoring companies, talent acts, and charities – has been overwhelming and inspirational,” said Michael Hemsey, President of Kobie Marketing. “As our food drive grows each year, we’re not only able to donate food, but also draw more attention to important work done by SPFC and increase awareness about hunger in our community.”
In 2014, Kobie hosted #StompOutStarving, a carnival themed fundraiser highlighting their annual giving towards the SPFC. From that event, Kobie was able to donate 46,334 pounds of food equating to $80,000 in value, and a refrigerated food truck valued at $50,000 to SPFC.
"Every year Kobie Marketing amazes us with an inventive way to support the community through their annual food drive to support SPFC," said Beth Houghton, Executive Director of SPFC. "We are so grateful for their support and excited for the fun night they have planned. It is wonderful how they have inspired the local community to come out and support their neighbors in need."
This year’s event will feature a silent auction with over 40 community items donated by local businesses, including gift certificates for local restaurants, tickets to live entertainment events, Tampa Bay Rays and Rowdies apparel and game gear, hotel and spa packages, wine baskets and more. Tickets to the event are $40 and are available for sale at StPetesGotTalent.com.
