KOINOR and FutureCarbon are implementing fully integrated infrared heater for premium-leather upholstered furniture
Bayreuth, Germany (PRWEB) January 23, 2014 -- Today, furniture heat seating is typically based on conventional heating wires. These systems have a longer warm-up cycle with hot spot where the wires run and a vulnerability to complete malfunction in case the wire breaks. To eliminate those shortcomings and design a new generation of furniture heating KOINOR and FutureCarbon have applied the carbon based Carbo e-Therm technology into KOINOR’s leather seating product line.
"This new kind of system is applied with a breathable grid and provides a most homogeneous heat distribution even for large surfaces. The warmth generated by Carbo e-Therm is radiation heat, comparable to the feeling of sunshine. Using a substrate coated with our technology the system is most robust and not bothered by breaking wires as conventional system. Our intelligent digital control unit allows optimized overall energy consumption," says Klaus Zeyn, Managing Director Sales & Marketing at FutureCarbon.
Andreas Winkler, Head of Construction at KOINOR, adds enthusiastically: "We want to provide a unique seating experience to our customers. Cooperating with FutureCarbon allows us to realize our vision of a new seat heating experience. The most outstanding fact is the extraordinary comfortable and natural warmness that is realized within a couple of seconds."
The low energy heating system will be operated with non-hazardous low voltage of 29V. The heating of the seat or chair-back can be adjusted individually by the user.
KOINOR’s first seats using the Carbo e-Therm heating system will be the new SILENCIO product line – a comprehensive relax chair series that offers various comfort functions such as massage, get up support and heating. Rollout is targeted for the second quarter of 2014.
