Kreyonic™ Launches Indiegogo Crowdfunding Campaign for the Qboo™ Smart Plush Toys for Children
Kitchener, Ontario (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- A crowdfunding campaign begins today for next year’s hottest Christmas toy. Local Tech Start Up, Kreyonic traveled more than 15-thousand kilometres from Sri Lanka to Waterloo Region to create a unique, educational and innovative toy that is raising $25,000 to go to market.
Kreyonic is an ambitious start up launching an aggressive $25,000 crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. The funds will support the manufacturing cost and development of its product, Qboo. Kreyonic researches and develops smart plush toys that interact with educational tablet apps. Qboo is the first in the product line that features a set of farm animals.
"We can encourage physical play in kids without restricting their access to technology and digital devices,” says Lahiru Lakmal Priyadarshana, Kreyonic CEO. “Qboo can make screen time more meaningful and fun for children."
Kreyonic is designing and developing the next generation of toys. The Qboo applications encourage non-structured game play, where children can choose the characters they want in their story. Characters come to life in a digital world.
The Kreyonic team is the first international start-up in the Communitech Hyperdrive Accelerator program and planing to apply under the newest Canadian government Start-Up visa program for entrepreneurs.
The Keyonic team is combining their specialty in engineering, human computer interaction and e-learning to create Qboo.
“We have great chemistry as a team and what to use our passion for tech to change the way kids learn,” says Priyadarshana.
