KUBE 93FM Haunted House at the Georgetown Morgue and the Nightmare on 9 Haunted Attractions Open Their Doors and Partner with Don't be a Monster Anti Bullying Campaign.
Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) September 05, 2015 -- Fall has arrived in the Pacific Northwest which means it must be time for the KUBE 93.3FM HAUNTED HOUSE AT THE GEORGETOWN MORGUE to creak open its doors and let the terror begin for another Halloween season. Seattlehaunts, LLC is very proud to present the 36th year of the KUBE 93.3FM Haunted House at the Georgetown Morgue, the longest consecutively running attraction on the west coast. Furthermore, Seattlehaunts is celebrating its 21st year bringing fear to the Northwest. Masterfully re-imagined, Scott Kolling has done it again and Seattlehaunts is gaining recognition from the prestigious America's Haunts in their top 30 Scariest Haunted Houses in the Country list.
This year Seattlehaunts is teaming up with America's Haunts and Vet Tix to provide free haunted house tickets to veterans. Now through Nov. 1, 2015, America Haunts attractions will provide $1 million in free tickets for admission to active duty service men and women in all five branches of the military, honorably discharged veterans and the families of those killed in action. The tickets are available through Vet Tix, a national nonprofit organization.
“We felt it was important for us to join in with other members to give back in some small way to our men and women in the Armed Services and their families for their dedication to our country,” said Scott Kolling, owner of Seattlehaunts.
Service men and women sign on to serve their country, often sacrificing the opportunity to take part in beloved holiday traditions like celebrating Halloween with their families, said Amber Arnett-Bequeaith, vice president of America Haunts.
“As a group, we wanted to come together to show our appreciation and collectively express our thanks,” she said.
This year Seattlehaunts is also partnering with Don’t be a Monster, a not-for-profit anti bullying campaign. Don’t be a Monster’s mission is simple: educate and empower youth to be leaders in their school around diversity, inclusiveness, and show them how to stand up for their friends and peers. Don’t be a Monster focuses on the choices a student can make when it comes to bullying, and how these choices will impact their lives as well as the lives of those around them. The Don’t Be A Monster program partners with local area haunted houses and area nonprofit organizations to deliver 45-minute assemblies to 4th through 9th grade students. The program is delivered in the months of September and October during National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month and the Halloween season. This program ensures students are engaged with the material, which allows them to better understand and connect with the role they may play in both provoking and preventing bullying.
Over the summer Seattlehaunts uncovered more secrets in their industrial Georgetown factory located at 5000 E. Marginal way S. The Georgetown Morgue, formerly Broughton Brothers Funeral Service, has a deep dark history and they have only scratched the surface. Digging deeper into the morgue’s underbelly new rooms were uncovered with secret passages and creepy hiding places. This Halloween season at the KUBE 93FM Haunted House at the Georgetown Morgue Seattlehaunts is taking it back to the beginning with a historic look that the building’s creepy past.
Meanwhile Up North, at Seattlehaunts’ other premier attraction, NIGHTMARE ON 9, local patrons will tremble with terror as they attempt to dodge axe wielding maniacs, fight through a corn maze filled with possessed scarecrows, and hope to escape the chainsaw towing clown. This year see if you can make it through the possessed hog troughs and giant demonic pig monsters.
