Hudson, OH (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- Among the most popular feature requests from customers of HDMI Matrix Switcher is the ability to route audio through a receiver. While it has always been technically possible to do this with an HDMI receiver, it has always been problematic as receivers are seldom upgraded while HDCP continues to evolve. This can create an extra point of failure in the media authentication pipeline. KVMSwitchTech’s new 8x8 HDMI Matrix Switch with separate digital audio input and output through S/PDIF provides a simple solution to this problem. Installers can also use a DVI to HDMI adaptor (not included) and a separate audio signal. The video will be embedded on the output signal. On any output, you can take advantage of the SPDIF (coaxial digital) audio output. This is an excellent feature that allows audio to connect directly to an audio receiver. The S/PDIF can carry two channels of uncompressed lossless PCM audio or compressed 5.1/7.1 surround sound such as Dolby Digital Plus or DTS-HD High Resolution Audio. This video matrix supports wide range of HD resolutions from PC XGA to WUXGA 1920x1200 and HDTV/DTV resolutions 480i/480p, 576i/576p, 720p, 1080i & 1080p.
Another great feature that has been incorporated into the HD-MTX-88-A is the inclusion of integrated Ethernet based TCP/IP Control for remote management. While previous generation 8X8 HDMI Switch units provided remote administration and configuration through a RS/232 to Ethernet adapter, this Switcher has both RS232 and Ethernet built into the unit.
