L-com Now Offers High-Retention USB Panel-Mount Couplers
North Andover, MA (PRWEB) June 04, 2015 -- L-com Global Connectivity, a preferred manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, announced today that it has released a series of panel-mount USB couplers with high-retention connectors.
L-com's high retention ECF-style panel-mount USB couplers were developed to address USB connectivity application requirements in environments where vibration and cable pull may occur. The specialized high-retention connectors used in these couplers offer a mating force of 40N max and an un-mating force of 15N min, which is 50% higher than standard USB connectors.
The couplers are available in USB Type B-A, A-A, and A-B connector configurations and feature shielded housings, which limit the effects of EMI/RFI often found in industrial environments.
“Our high-retention USB couplers were designed for use in industrial USB applications where vibration and accidental cable pull may occur. The panel-mount style allows the couplers to be used in enclosures, panels and other designs where a feed-through USB coupler is required,” said Steve Smith, Product Manager.
