L&S Electric Earns EASA Repair Accreditation
Wausau, WI (PRWEB) December 10, 2014 -- L&S Electric has earned EASA accreditation at each of its six service centers for motor repair, which guarantees that repaired electric motors retain efficiency and reliability.
L&S Electric is the first company in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan to earn EASA’s AR100 Accreditation Program. In addition, L&S Electric also is the first company to obtain certification for multiple locations. Three-phase, squirrel cage electric motors are the only type of motors that is applied to this program.
It has been proven that by following defined good practices, electric motor efficiency can be maintained during repair and rewind. An international accreditation program has been created by the Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA) centered on good practices.
The overall goal of this program is to make sure service centers follow the EASA’s program guidelines assuring they are using good practices to preserve the efficiency and reliability during electrical and mechanical repairs of electric motors. Achieving accreditation meant L&S Electric successfully completed program implementation in 23 categories and over 70 criteria elements determined by an independent third-party that performed an audit at each L&S Electric location.
