La Isla Magazine Presents the Finalists to Miss and Mister La Isla Magazine Community Pageant October 19th, at Shelter Cove Community Park, Hilton Head Island
(PRWEB) September 22, 2013 -- At the event, the winners of the Miss and Mister La Isla Magazine will be crowned. The first phase of the contest finished September 13th on La Isla Magazine's Facebook page. We have three females and two males that received the most Facebook votes and will move on to the final phase. Representing the ladies we have: Hilton Head Island resident Eliangie Padua from Puerto Rico (790 votes), Beaufort resident Yahimar Lai from Puerto Rico (694 votes), and Hilton Head Island resident Glendy Ramirez from Mexico (346 votes). Representing the gentlemen we have: Jorge Cárdenas from Mexico (210 votes) and Chris George from Honduras (141 votes), both Bluffton Residents.
Each finalist will represent a local non-profit organization in order to raise awareness and funds on behalf of the Latino community. The young lady and gentleman that raise the most donations will be crowned the new Miss and Mister La Isla Magazine 2014.
The event will also feature live music from three different Latin bands: Bachata Flow, Son del Coquí, and Tequila Show. Additional music will be provided by DJ Leo Wilkinson.
Additionally, the event will include many food and non-food vendors, folkloric Latin dancers, kids' activities, salsa lessons and a dance contest. Entrance is only $3 and kids under 10 enter for free. Gates open at 1PM.
