Laïka, an Interactive Companion for Dogs, Reaches Indiegogo Crowdfunding Goal Within 24 Hours
PARIS (PRWEB) October 16, 2017 -- Laïka, an interactive companion for dogs, by CamToy exceeded their funding goal of $40,000 within their first 24 hours on Indiegogo and is trending to raise close to $100,000 by the time the campaign ends in mid November. Laïka gives dog owners the ability to reward and interact with their pet from anywhere, by live video and audio, using their smartphone.
“Laïka is there to help your pup feel less lonely while you’re away, with the help of its tracker, Laïka will be able to know when your dog needs to be stimulated. If you’re not available at that moment? No problem, Laïka’s autonomous mode can handle it,” said Laïka founder Thomas Samtmann. “Laïka is the only companion that combines interactive play, a treat tosser, a microphone, a speaker and live video into one device.”
Laïka uses several features to keep dogs entertained and owners at ease. Live audio and video recording allows for owners to check-in on their companions from anywhere and interact with their pets via the device. The Laïka application for smartphones will also notify owners of barking or excess noise. Through the app, owners have the ability to give their dogs treats with the Laïka treat tosser that fits almost all standard size dog treats. Laïka also moves with pets, so that it is not stationary, and uses a self-running mode for when owners do not have time to check their app and control it from there.
Aside from the unique features of Laïka, CamToy also created a tracker that fits on a dog’s collar as well as a charging base, so owners never have to worry about Laïka running out of battery. The tracker connects with Laïka so Laïka knows where the dog is at all times and can monitor behavior.
Laïka is available on Indiegogo for an early bird price of $275. To learn more about this smart dog companion, visit bit.ly/LaikaIGG.
