LA Nonprofit Donates School Supplies to Underprivileged Children
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 24, 2015 -- This Wednesday, August 26th, between 3-6 pm, The Dream Builders Project (The DBP) will partner with After-School All-Stars Los Angeles for their signature Back to School Charity Flash Mob. Benefiting socioeconomically-disadvantaged students at the Bandini Elementary School in The City of Commerce, The DBP will supply more than 100 underprivileged students with new backpacks filled with a variety of school supplies, including folders, notebooks, writing utensils, mathematical equipment, as well as other educational necessities. Various educational games will also be run by DBP volunteers, including arts and craft activities, and sporting competitions.
“With our Charity Flash Mobs, The Dream Builders Project has an amazing opportunity to make a significant difference in the local community,” says Mayer Dahan, Founder of The Dream Builders Project. “Giving back to the young generations is our investment in the future.”
So far, The DBP has received generous product donations from local companies and organizations such as Tilly’s, Balloon Blast Toys and California Quake. Via online donation forums, such as Eventbrite, Paypal, and Crowdrise, DBP supporters have also kindly donated over $750 to go towards buying supplies, as well as equipment for the day’s activities.
