Not even being a new mom can keep Hillary Scott from entertaining the fans of her group, Lady Antebellum. Scott and her band mates, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood will head out on their North American tour that includes more than 60 dates. Opening up for the Grammy Award winners will be Kip Moore and Kacey Musgraves, two acts that are developing a following of their own. When these three acts get together starting in November, fans will have a chance to see a great show from start to finish.
Lady Antebellum:
Lady Antebellum started to become household names in 2007, but didn't get their biggest break until the release of their third single of their self-titled debut album, I Run to You. The song reached the top spot on the U.S. Country Hits chart and also reached the 27th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 2009, the trio released their second album, "Need You Know," which included three songs that reached the top of the country charts, Need You Know, American Honey and Our Kind of Love. Their 2011 album, "Own the Night," saw another two top country hits, Just a Kiss and We Owned the Night, as well as a song that reached the second spot on the Country Hits chart, Dancin' Away with my Heart.
Since the band entered the country music business, they have quickly made their way up the charts. They have released four albums and all have reached the top spot in the country charts and their last three have reached the overall top spot on the Billboard 200. The second album has been the most successful for Lady Antebellum, going platinum four times in the United States with more than four million copies sold.
Kip Moore:
Moore released his debut album "Up All Night," in April 2012 and has essentially been touring the country ever since. At one point, the album reached the third position on the U.S. country charts and the sixth spot on the Billboard 200. Included on that album is his lone No. 1 single, Somethin' Bout a Truck which has prompted thousands of female fans to wear red sun dresses to his concerts. Most recently, Moore has been the opening act for Toby Keith on his "Hammer Down Tour."
Kacey Musgraves:
Musgraves is another up-and-comer in the country music world. She has four solo albums out, but her most recent was the first mainstream release. That album, titled "Same Trailer Different Park," has helped her quickly become a star in country music. She recently received five nominations for the Country Music Association Awards including "Album of the Year." The album reached the top spot on the country music charts and second overall on the Billboard 200. She has released two songs from the album thus far, Merry Go 'Round and Blowin' Smoke, both of which have received extensive airplay on country radio and in the case of Merry Go 'Round, has been certified gold.
