Lajollacooks4u Cooking for Charity: A Night of Food and Football
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 02, 2014 -- Bolt up: Lajollacooks4u will be teaming up with the San Diego Chargers and Chef Chris Gardner, to raise money for the Volunteers of America Southwest. Lajollacooks4u’s “A Night of Food and Football” cooking class will have guests cooking, wining and dining with the San Diego Chargers. The opportunity to attend is being sold in a silent auction during Volunteers of America Southwest’s 15th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic on September 8, 2014 at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club.
The winning bidder and seven guests of their choice will be welcomed into Lajollacooks4u’s kitchen for a one-of-a-kind cooking and dining experience with former players from the San Diego Chargers. Confirmed to attend the cooking class at Lajollacooks4u are former Chargers players Luis Castillo, Greg Camarillo, Dave Binn, and two-time Super Bowl veteran, Darren Carrington.
This priceless cooking and dining experience, valued normally at $2,400, will be bid on during the silent auction at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club, as part of the Celebrity Golf Classic hosted by Volunteers of America Southwest. This annual charity event will be held for its fifteenth year in an effort to raise money for Volunteers of America Southwest.
Lajollacooks4u was invited to participate by Chris Gardner, Food Services Director and Chef of Volunteers of America Southwest. Chef Gardner was aware of the high-end and high-quality experience Lajollacooks4u provides its guests, and seized the opportunity to team up Lajollacooks4u. The cooking class with the San Diego Chargers is sure to be a desirable prize for bidders, and will hopefully raise a considerable amount of money for Volunteers of America Southwest.
