Lake Shore Participating in ICSM Conference in Turkey

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- Lake Shore Cryotronics, a leading innovator in solutions for measurements over a wide range of temperature and magnetic field conditions, announced today that it will be participating in the 4th International Conference on Superconductivity and Magnetism (ICSM2014), April 27–May 2, in Antalya, Turkey.

At ICSM2014, Lake Shore will be discussing its full line of cryogenic probe stations, which enable reliable, non-destructive measurements of electrical, direct current (DC), radio frequency (RF) and microwave properties of superconducting materials and test devices at cryogenic temperatures (1.6 K to 675 K) and under the application of magnetic fields up to 3 T. These capabilities are vital to research into superconducting materials.

Lake Shore will also be providing information on its new terahertz (THz) materials characterization system for exploring the electronic and magnetic properties of next-generation materials. The fully integrated platform uses non-contact THz-frequency energy and a variable-temperature (5 K to 300 K), high-field (9 T) cryostat to measure material spectroscopic responses across a wide range of frequencies (0.2 to 1.5 THz). The system is ideal for scientists who need a way to characterize the terahertz frequency properties of thin-film superconducting device and circuit materials.

Also at ICSM2014, Lake Shore will discuss its:
• Magnetometer systems, including its industry-leading vibrating sample and alternating gradient magnetometers (VSMs/AGMs), for characterizing magnetic properties of superconducting materials over a broad range of temperatures and magnetic fields to 3.1 T.
• Hall effect measurement systems that enable the measurement of Hall coefficient and resistivity of superconductors as a function of temperature and magnetic fields to 9 T.
• Cryogenic temperature sensors, controllers and monitors used while investigating superconducting material properties at low temperatures and high magnetic fields.
