Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. to Play Among the Stars This Weekend
(PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., the “America’s Got Talent” winner and top selling Columbia Records crooner, will perform at two star-studded events this weekend. Friday May 2nd, Landau is one of the celebrity headline performers at The Unbridled Eve Gala, and official Kentucky Derby Event held on Derby Eve at the Galt House Hotel Grand Ballroom in Louisville. He’ll then fly to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia to headline the entertainment at the Apple Blossom Festival Saturday May 3rd in Winchester, and serve as a celebrity judge of their first ever Apple Blossom’s Got Talent competition. Both events boast star-studded celebrity guest lists and impressive entertainment line-ups.
Which celebrities will walk the red carpet and share the stage with Landau? In Louisville, the list of performers includes country star Jo Dee Messina, "American Idol" Season 8 winner Kris Allen, country music singer-songwriter Frankie Ballard (whose “Helluva Ride” recently hit #1) one of the most recognized voices in radio, “Weekly Top 40” host Rick Dees and HLN’s “Morning Express” anchor (and accomplished vocalist) Robin Meade.
Adding Hollywood sizzle to the Unbridled Eve red carpet are super-sexy Beth Behrs, the co-star of "2 Broke Girls" who will be joined by cast mate Jonathan Kite. Also coming: Patrick Warburton of "Seinfeld," "Men in Black," "Rules of Engagement" and more. Jackie Gleason's grandson, “Speed 2” and “Drugstore Cowboy” actor Jason Patric, will walk the red carpet along with Michael Gladis from "Mad Men." "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" actor and rapper Ice T and his wife, Coco, are coming, along with Bob Guiney from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
From the sports world, Unbridled Eve guests will mingle with Mark Sanchez, quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles; NFL Hall of Famer Warren Moon; Chris Canty, defensive end for the Baltimore Ravens; University of Louisville's Luke Hancock; a slew of jockeys, including one of three living Triple Crown winners, Jean Cruguet (Seattle Slew); and Kentucky's own Olympian, Dallas Robison.

Saturday May 3rd, Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. will be joining the 2014 Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival in multiple capacities: most significantly, a major star turn at the Festival’s own “Apple Blossom’s Got Talent!” event. Landau will travel to the Land of Pink and Green to add his expertise to the judging of the Festival’s sensational new talent contest; to add his knowledgeable congratulations on stage to the winners; and, best of all, to add his brilliant singing voice to the Vegas-style festivities as he delights party-goers with a concert during the course of the evening.
Festival Organizers are planning for Landau to take a high-profile ride through the Grand Feature Parade at 1:30pm on Saturday, May 3rd. He will then rush to the Sprint Tent for sounds checks; maybe get a little rest; and, then become a Celebrity Judge for the “Round of 12” at that evening’s “Apple Blossom’s Got Talent!” event. While the public themselves pick the winners from the final, judge-selected “Round of 6,” Landau will take the stage and give Festival Fans a hit-packed concert of the very best of the big sound of Sinatra-styled, Vegas-tinged, Great American Songbook backed by the No Vacancy Orchestra. Among the other celebrities slated to participate in the 87th annual Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival are parade Grand Marshals Sean and Catherine Lowe from TV’s “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette”, NBA basketball legend Bill Walton, BET’s Sheila Johnson, RG3 parents Robert and Jacqueline Griffin, Iraqi war hero, “Dancing With The Stars” and “SAF3” star J.R. Martinez and three generations of Hollywood’s famous Astin family, including John Astin (best known as “Gomez Addams” on the classic “Addams Family”), Sean Astin (known for starring roles in dozens of films including “Lord of the Rings”, “Rudy” and “Goonies”) and Ali Astin, Queen Shenandoah LXXXVII.
