Language Learning App From EuroTalk Now Offers 35 Languages
London (PRWEB UK) 31 July 2013 -- uTalk, for iPhone and iPod touch, allows language learners to pick up key vocabulary in all 35 languages, helping them avoid the embarrassment of being lost for words when visiting another country.
The new languages launched this week are Danish, Finnish, Slovak, Serbian, Bulgarian, Polish, Romanian, Malay, Catalan and Basque. As with all EuroTalk software, the languages have been translated and recorded by native speakers.
“We want uTalk to be for everyone, not just for those travelling to the more well-known holiday destinations,” says Richard Howeson, EuroTalk’s chairman. “And what’s really exciting is that it looks like we’re going to meet our target of 100 languages by Christmas.”
The app uses addictive games to help users commit the new words to memory before leaving home. Or it can also be used as a mobile phrasebook during the trip, using the Instant Search feature to find and hear a word or phrase when needed.
For those wanting to learn more than just the key words like 'hello', 'thank you' and 'I don’t understand', upgrades are available to uTalk Essentials, with 360 words (£6.99), or uTalk Premium, with 1,200 words (£10.99).
uTalk was developed in response to customer feedback, and includes a culture section containing vocabulary associated with the country where the selected language is spoken. The app also offers a 'World Tour' travel game, allowing users to collect passport stamps and souvenirs on a round-the-world journey.
uTalk is available to download free now from the App Store.
