Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) October 31, 2013 -- Germany-based specialty chemicals company LANXESS has extended a long-term agreement with NOVA Chemicals Corporation (NOVA) to supply crude C4 (cC4) as a raw material for LANXESS’ North American asset base. Financial details were not disclosed.
NOVA’s facilities in Joffre, Alberta, and Corunna, Ontario, will supply cC4 to LANXESS’ extraction unit in Sarnia, Ontario.
“We are strengthening our relationship with NOVA, an established industry player,” said Holger Hueppeler, LANXESS’ Head of Global Procurement and Logistics.
“This contract is adding to the security of supply we are providing to our customers out of our North American asset base,” said Joachim Grub, LANXESS’ Head of Business Unit Performance Butadiene Rubbers.
