Largest U.S. Grassroots Business Network Endorses Additional Candidates for 2014 Elections
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) April 28, 2014 -- Today, BIPAC— the Business-Industry Political Action Committee—announces endorsements for six candidates in key races for the 2014 House and Senate elections.
BIPAC, founded in 1963 as a bipartisan business coalition, has the longest-running business PAC in the country. It also represents an extensive network of business leaders and state partners in 48 states.
BIPAC’s Action Fund helps elect candidates to Congress with a demonstrated record of supporting economic growth and job creation.
The endorsement means that there was broad consensus amongst BIPAC members—state, and local employers and business organizations across the U.S.—that the selected will be the strongest advocates for growing America’s economy, creating jobs, and increasing prosperity. BIPAC offers endorsements of candidates only when such broad consensus exists amongst local, state, and national business organizations and employers.

“A stable, predictable economic environment is critical for the private sector to create jobs and grow our economy. There must be a functional government that passes budgets, doesn’t threaten to default on its debts and doesn’t shut down over pointless ideological flights of fancy. At the same time, we also need a government that isn’t choked by regulation and taxes. The last few years have offered no stability and dramatically increasing regulatory burdens. The result is horribly weak economic performance, reduced workforce participation, and a sad lack of confidence in the direction of our country and economy. These candidates represent the consensus opinion of the business community, as those best able to make America, and our economy, work again. We will do everything we can to help get them elected,” said BIPAC President and CEO Greg Casey.
BIPAC works with its members and state partners to engage employees in the political process. BIPAC provides tools, technology, and infrastructure for employers to communicate directly with employees to ensure that they are registered to vote, informed about candidates and issues, and that they fully participate in the political process.
As a result of the endorsement, BIPAC’s Action Fund will make a contribution to each candidate’s campaign as well as solicit contributions from its membership on behalf of the endorsed candidates. Additionally, BIPAC will provide local employers the tools to directly engage employees in the endorsed candidates’ states or districts to work towards a stronger, more prosperous economic climate for those employees.
