Larry Newman Promoted to Vice President of Kirkman Group, Inc.
Portland, OR (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Larry Newman, chief operating officer, technical and regulatory affairs of Kirkman Group, Inc., was promoted to vice president of the company last week. He remains the company’s chief operating officer, technical and regulatory affairs, as well.
Larry Newman is one of the country's leading experts in the manufacturing of dietary supplements. Before joining Kirkman® in 1999, he worked as corporate vice president of technical affairs, quality control and product development for IVC Industries in Freehold, NJ.
Prior to that, Newman worked as vice president of operations, technical affairs, for Hall Laboratories in Portland, OR. Hall Laboratories was a major supplier of pharmaceuticals and nutritional supplements to Costco.
He was also Director of Operations for Pharmavite, a nutraceutical company in Irvine, CA, Director of Pharmaceutical Operations for Bergen Brunswig Laboratories in El Segundo, CA and Product Development Director/Plant Manager for Norton Products Co, in Los Angeles, CA.
Newman graduated from the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy, and received his B.A. in Chemistry from San Fernando State in Northridge, CA.
This promotion was one of several announced by David Humphrey, president and CEO of Kirkman Group, Inc., that took effect last week.
The promotions include: Kulani Mahikoa to Executive Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Services; Jim Hall to Senior Vice President in addition to his position as Chief Financial Officer; Larry Newman to Vice President in addition to his position as Chief Operating Officer, Technical and Regulatory Affairs; and Rhonda Mulford to Vice President, International Sales and Special Programs.
