Larson Design Group Announces Ken Larson Scholarship Drive
Williamsport, PA (PRWEB) June 08, 2016 -- Larson Design Group recently announced that is has begun fundraising for the Ken Larson Scholarship at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
“Ken Larson was the first CEO of Larson Design Group. His vision was to create careers to keep talented engineers, architects, and surveyors in Lycoming County. With the help of Pennsylvania College of Technology, he was able to realize that vision,” said Chris Keiser, project manager with Larson Design Group and chair of the fundraising campaign.
“We wanted to create a scholarship in his name at Penn College both to honor his contributions to the company, and to honor the College’s contributions as well. Currently, over 80 of Larson Design Group’s 300 employees are Penn College graduates,” Keiser said.
The scholarship is part of LDG’s ongoing 30th anniversary celebration. In order to reach endowment, funds raised must reach or exceed $25,000. Larson Design Group has pledged to match contributions dollar for dollar, and several fundraising events are being planned, including the Road Scholar 5k taking place September 3 at 1000 Commerce Park Drive in Williamsport.
