Larson Electronics LLC Releases A New Class I Division 2 LED Rig Light with Motion + Day/Night Sensor
Kemp, TX (PRWEB) June 15, 2017 -- Larson Electronics LLC, a leading industrial lighting company, announced the release of a new Class I Division 2 LED rig light (HAL-48-2L-LED-BMSW-DNMS) to be added to its expanding catalog of products this week. This hazardous area LED features a motion + day/night sensor and is ideal for places where flammable chemical/petrochemical vapors may be encountered.
This hazardous area LED light features day/night and motion sensing capability and is U.S./Canada U.L. approved for Class I Division 2 Groups A, B, C and D hazardous work environments. It is also UL 1598A listed, as well as, carries a T4A temperature rating and is ideal for hazardous locations where flammable chemical/petrochemical vapors may be present. Each of the lamps are protected by a powder coated aluminum frame and shatter and heat resistant clear acrylic lens secured with ten zinc coated steel draw latches for added durability. This hazardous location LED also carries a United States Coast Guard approval, making it ideal for applications such as oil rigs, ships, offshore applications, petrochemical, manufacturing, chemical storage and water treatment centers. This LED comes equipped with a powerful motion + day/night sensor located inside the fixture itself. This sensor allows the fixture to operate in one of several different modes. It can be set to be motion activated, day/night activated or in a combination of motion sensing and day/night modes. This sensor also allows users to adjust and modify the following settings: motion sensor sensitivity, motion sensor time-delay and the intensity output level of the fixture. Having this degree of flexibility in operation and settings offers operators a versatile light fixture. You also have the option to install multiple units together, like in parking garages, and then set up a sequence with alternating lights on separate circuits. The first circuit would have sensors set to a lower lux level than on the second. This hypothetical setup would allow half of the lights to come on as daylight begins to fade and the rest to come on once complete darkness has fallen.
"Special lighting is required when working within hazardous locations," said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics LLC."These LED rig lights not only meet these requirements with their Class I Division 2 rating, but also help to reduce operating costs and downtime incurred from frequent servicing intervals with their built in motion + day/night sensor."
