Larson Electronics LLC Releases Non-Metallic Vapor Proof Fluorescent Light
Kemp, TX (PRWEB) September 23, 2017 -- Leader in industrial lighting, Larson Electronics LLC, has just announced the release of a vapor proof fluorescent light fixture in a non-metallic housing. It features a T4C temperature rating and is designed to handle to rigors of wet and corrosive marine environment such as petrochemical facilities, lubrication pits, oil drilling rigs, crew quarters, solvent/cleaning areas, water treatment areas, processing plants and marine loading docks.
The VPL-CRNM-48-2L is a weatherproof/vapor proof fluorescent light fixture designed for saltwater-marine environments. It carries a UL 1598A outdoor marine rating and meets US Coast Guard specifications. It comes with two T5HO, T8, or T12HO fluorescent lamps with 20,000 lumens and 20,000 hour rated service life, 5,900 lumens and 24,000 hour rated service life, and 8,100 lumens and 12,000 hour rated service life respectively, per each fixture.
This fluorescent light is non-metallic, constructed of non-corrosive materials including polyester housing that is reinforced with glass fiber, a poured in gasket for reliable sealing, and an acrylic diffuser that is impact resistant. This unit also features eight corrosion resistant plastic latches that secure the lamp cover to the polyester housing, providing a very firm lock against the poured in seal, which prevents drips and potential water intrusion. Flange type stainless steel mounts are included and attached at each end of the fixture so it can be secured easily to any stable surface. These flange mounts provide some shock absorbency protection and make it simple for operators to mount the fixture with through-hole taps. It can also be pendant mounted and hung from the ceiling, suspended by rigid pipe.
