Last Ever Photos Taken Of Marilyn Monroe Hit eBay Auction Block
Rancho MIrage, CA (PRWEB) June 09, 2015 -- U.S. singer, composer and jazz pianist Buddy Greco has announced he is selling his memorabilia collection on eBay, which include the last photos taken of Marilyn Monroe before her death, They were snapped at the Cal Neva Lodge just five days before her death in 1962, according to Titanium Media Group, Greco's PR agency.
"I've enjoyed my collection and these rare photos for over 40 years, taken by my then manager with my camera during that last weekend in Cal Neva, Nev. "I was heartbroken when I heard the news about beautiful Marilyn a few short days later”.
In one of the 6 photos, celebrity hairstylist Jay Sebring is seen cutting Greco's hair at the lodge. Sebring was killed by the Manson Family in the Sharon Tate slayings in 1969. Also seen in the photos are Frank Sinatra, Buddy Greco and Peter Lawford. These are the last candid photos of Marilyn and are the originals not copies. They have been stamped on the back with the date by the film manufacturer.
Greco will be re-releasing many of his albums and will be creating an eBay store as well as having his music available via digital download for the first time. Greco has released an impressive 78 albums during his career. "I'm also working on a book about my adventures in the music business," said Greco. "I have many stories to tell as one of the last surviving members of the Rat Pack era."
Many other rare items that will be hitting the auction block include original photos, letters, gifts and signed rarities from The Beatles, Fred Astaire, Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra. One special piece is a painting of Frank Sinatra painted by Mia Farrow while married to him. Along with the Farrow drawing the winning bidder will also receive a cigarette box inscribed “From Frank and Mia”, and a lighter, given only to Sinatra’s closest friends for Christmas.
"I'm in great health," Greco said. "But it's definitely time to simplify my life and give a new home to this wonderful collection. I can't think of a better way to share it with the world."
