LastPass Enterprise Introduces SAML-Based SSO for Cloud Applications
(PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- LastPass, the company that’s helping the world remember their passwords and better manage their online lives, has announced that their LastPass Enterprise offering for teams and businesses now supports Single-Sign On with SAML for cloud-based services. LastPass Enterprise now combines the convenience of Enterprise-class password vaulting with the efficiency of SSO, bridging the gap left by existing SSO solutions or providing a secure, standalone access management system.
Officially out of Beta, the LastPass Enterprise SAML offering provides a true Single Sign-On experience in a user's web browser. SAML allows employees to access their favorite services without a password. By simply being logged into the LastPass browser addon, the user will no longer be presented with a login screen - they can immediately use the apps they need every day since LastPass does the behind-the-scenes authentication for them.
“SSO is a preferred access management system for large companies, but those systems do not support the increasing number of sites and cloud services that the average employee uses on a daily basis,” says LastPass CEO, Joe Siegrist. "LastPass Enterprise solves this by pairing SSO with password vaulting, providing a seamless browsing experience for employees. It’s all about increasing efficiency and decreasing the hassle of authentication, without sacrificing security.”
Supported apps for LastPass Enterprises’ SAML service include Google Apps, Box, Microsoft Office 365, Zendesk, and more, with new apps added daily.
LastPass Enterprise can be trialed for 14 days, a trial can be initiated from: https://lastpass.com/enterprise_overview.php.
