LATISSE Shown to Improve the Thickness of Eyebrows as Well as Eyelashes

Researchers noticed that the trial participants were experiencing lash growth as a side effect of the IOP prescription.
Not long afterward, Allergan researchers began developing and testing what would later become LATISSE. The results were astounding – 78% of trial participants experienced significant lash growth.
It is not fully understood how and why LATISSE works. Doctors and researchers believe that the bimatoprost extends the anagen phase, or growth cycle, of eyelashes. This leads to more eyelashes remaining in the growth phase at a given period of time thus fullness is greatly improved, as is the length of lashes.
What to Know Before You Grow Eyebrows with LATISSE
LATISSE hasn’t been approved by the FDA for use on the eyebrows. Safety and effectiveness would have to be documented before the FDA would give its approval for using the product anywhere but the upper eyelids.
That said, many doctors have noted that patients have seen positive results are using LATISSE on their eyebrows. If you are considering using it on your eyebrows it is suggested that you discuss it with your physician or provider.
The product can cause darkening of the skin where it is applied. Though this is usually temporary, applying the product to the eyebrows can lead of unwanted pigment changes on surrounding areas.
You might get more growth than expected. Because LATISSE is not yet approved for eyebrows there is no recommendations on proper usage for achieving the best results.
