Launch of Viva Fifty, a Bilingual Online Publication for Latina Boomers & Gen-Xers
Sarasota, Florida (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- February 19th marks the official launch of Viva Fifty, a bilingual online platform for Latina Boomers and Gen-Xers, a division of Viva Fifty Media LLC. The launch will be via an online event on Twitter with the hashtag #VivaFiftyLaunch and over $1000 in giveaways by brands like Legoland California, Jergens, OPI and It Cosmetics.
Viva Fifty caters to women 45-65, mothers, grandmothers, professionals, career women, caregivers, travelers, foodies. The women in this demographic want to look and feel vibrant. Many want to start a new chapter in their lives. Some are looking for empowerment, romance, or like-minded friends. They speak English, Spanish or both.
Founded by Lorraine C. Ladish, Viva Fifty soft launched in May of 2014. Ladish is a bilingual Latina and the former Editor in Chief of Mamiverse.com. Before that she was the Lifestyle Managing Editor of Voxxi.com. She is the author of 17 books on women’s issues and empowerment and an inspirational public speaker. She is also a mom and social media influencer.
“I’m passionate about making a difference in the Latino community. When I turned 50 in 2013, I toyed with the idea of creating an online space that would debunk the stereotypes surrounding the Latina 50+ crowd. I wanted to give this age group—my age group—information, support and a platform to amplify our voice,” says Ladish.
In under a year Viva Fifty has built a loyal 50+ online community. It is a well-focused site dedicated to this unique and growing demographic.
Phillippe Diederich, Editor in Chief of Viva Fifty says, “We don’t only answer our readers’ questions on social media and share triumphs and milestones with them, we also engage them with specific blogging campaigns, product reviews and suggestions.”
“We have built a community of like-minded mid-lifers who are making more of life after 50 than ever before. We realize reach is important, but we won’t sacrifice our values for clicks,” says Lorraine C. Ladish, adding, “At Viva Fifty you won’t see cute cat videos, or slide shows whose only purpose is to increase random clicks and page views. Our content is meant to inform and empower.”
Viva Fifty is comprised of a small, tight-knit team of bilingual and bicultural individuals who easily adapt to market changes, brainstorm to create customized promotional campaigns and course-correct during activations. Their reach and constant effort to exceed expectations has left Viva Fifty with many satisfied clients, including ATT Latino, AARP en español, Yoplait, Depend, and Transitions Lenses.
Brands and communities wanting to reach the Latino and Anglo 45-65 age group, in English and/or Spanish, now have a new outlet. Viva Fifty will deliver their message via sponsored content, social media shares, Twitter events, Youtube videos, and brand ambassadorship.
